If you aren't working right now, they have a AAA game between the Durham Bulls and Gwinnett Braves. Freddie Freeman (1B) just went yard with a 2 run shot. If Glaus keeps struggling they may pull him up soon. His stick is solid, but behind Heyward as far as that goes. Defensively may be the biggest help though. Draws a lot of comparisons to Mark Grace and Keith Hernandez around the bag.

how great is MLB network. I like it much better than the NFL network.

I dont watch either alot, but if they start showing alot of minor league games, especially Braves minor league games I will watch it quite often. If I didn't have to come to work I would liked to have watched all of the Spaceman Odyssey.

During the 1981 strike, TBS televised Richmond Braves baseball games. It was interesting to see players (Bedrosian, Butler, Harper, Dayley, Walk, etc.) develop who ended up being instrumental in the 1982 Braves run to win the NL West and challenged the Cardinals to go to the World Series. That being said, I watched enough minor league baseball that summer to last a lifetime. On a regular basis, my great grandmother listened to the Reds every game on the radio and watched the Braves on TV with the volume turned down. And, if there was a game on TV or the radio when one of those two teams weren't playing, it was watched or listened to as well. Since I stayed with her every time my folks would let me, that was what I did every night during baseball season as well...even during the strike. But, minor league baseball wore thin on me then and I get easily bored watching it now days for some reason. The one thing it has going for it is this: there seems to be more manager melt dows in the minors..both in number and severity..lol

Sounds like your grandmother was just like my wife's grandfather and great uncle.....they listened to the Reds on the radio and watched the Braves on the TV.

Yeah...she loved baseball, and the Reds in particular. Until I was grown, I thought the All-Star Game was a national holiday..haha
